My Approach
As a freelance trainer, facilitator and coach, I spend my time creating inclusive environments to enable individuals and groups to work at their best, lean into their strengths and be curious and open minded to challenges and differing viewpoints.
What does success look like? It’s comprised of two parts - Was the strategic business objective met? Did everyone in the group feel enabled to contribute at their best?"
Based on my years of experience and various training and facilitation opportunities across different settings, I am confident that the first of these has consistently been achieved for clients. The second around inclusion is more expansive and evolving. I design and facilitate in ways that enable diverse perspectives to thrive and for individual preferences and needs to be spoken to, however, I believe there is always room to further develop our approach to inclusion.

I had the privilege of working with Esme as I stepped into a leadership role, and her impact has been nothing short of transformative.
Esme brings a rare combination of deep expertise, emotional intelligence, and a genuine passion for developing others. Through our sessions, she helped me build confidence, sharpen my strategic thinking, and strengthen my ability to lead with clarity and authenticity."

"Where Esme really shines through is her commitment to neurodiversity in the workplace. Esme is great at allowing people to discover themselves naturally, and when working with a group ensures that the group organically creates aims and goals that strengthen both the individuals and the organisation."

"I recently attended a Managers Training session. The trainer (Esme Butterfield) was outstanding – highly knowledgeable and engaging. I left the session feeling more confident and better equipped to lead my team effectively. Highly recommended!"
Louise Coulson,

"As a coach, Esme has an incredible ability to make you feel at ease in situations that sometimes can be quite challenging and personally jarring. This allows you to be able to fully process your thoughts, questions and assumptions in a way that is non-judgmental, encouraging and safe."
